Provide a brief description of the film/program's story plot for our readers
I plan to boycott any such destructive portrayal of the events of 2012.
What is your personal opinion of this film/program, as entertainment?
What is your personal opinion of this film/program as a social and/or cultural message? Does it succeed or fail in this regard?
Whether or not this film is intended as a fear tactic, I hope it does not succeed.
What impact do you feel the movie will likely have on the way people worldwide will perceive the Mayan Calendar?
I think it once again will grossly distort and misrepresent scientific fact and cultural reality.
If you had the chance to remake this film/program, what would you do differently?
Going by the trailer alone, I don't imagine this film to include much if anything on the celestial facts nor the spiritual implications. I would focus on the great potential that this moment holds for humanity. I don't believe there has to be such destruction for a new paradigm to be created. There is so much information available that is rich in history and for me creates a vision of hope and excitement.
Would you recommend this film/program to your family, friends and colleagues? Why or why not?
No. The collective mind generates collective reality. Feed it with fear and images of destruction especially in a time that is so charged, then we are setting ourselves up for the worst.
What would you like to say to the film's director, and/or the production studio?
I'm curious what his intentions were behind making this film. Fear tactic?
("2012" only) Roland Emmerich is allegedly planning a television series "post 2012". What do you think of this idea?
Gauging by the trailer to the movie, I think it would be irresponsible and provide a disservice to humanity. We need to propel a positive collective dream of our future before we can create such a positive reality.
