2012 displays a film makers fantasy about catastrophic occurances that, from his perspective, will take place on and around December 21, 2012. The film creates a perspective that brings human relationship with fear to an all time high creating a number of graphic illusions that show, without any warning, asphalt fissures cutting their way through the middle of the mom and pop convenience store, beautifully manicured neighborhoods and across the middle of rush hour freeways. The survival instinct grips the actors and leads them to leave the world they once knew behind to flee to China where Arcs have been assembed to carry them to 'safety'.
What is your personal opinion of this film/program, as entertainment?
The entire film feels sensationalistic, and for me misses the genuineness of life's authentic unfolding. The film creates sequences of imagined events, none based on Truth, that reduces war, violence and crime to a mere shadow of its former self.
What is your personal opinion of this film/program as a social and/or cultural message? Does it succeed or fail in this regard?
For people who are feeling the Universal message of transformation and experiencing challenges of dramatic change, people who are in This moment losing their jobs, homes and health, the message of 2012 lacks what is Truly Needed in the world which is compassion, soulful connection with all sentient beings in awareness of where needs are asking to be met. Science Fiction is one thing - Misrepresentation of truth is quite another! And, from my perspective, what we Don't need more of is Distraction from what will support our journey together.
What impact do you feel the movie will likely have on the way people worldwide will perceive the Mayan Calendar?
There are more and more people who know and live by the high integrity of the Mayan Calendar. My sense is, many people will be attracted to the unshakable Truth held within the Mayan Calendar and systems of knowledge of the ancients . It is This Level of Truth that will lead us to Freedom. People are walkiing away from 2012, seeing it for what it is, bigger than life and lacking a worthwhile message. It's a Movie that was produced by someone whose perspective about life is limited and not a movie that carries a message that we, at this time in our evolution, will be choosing to return to. People are innately too saavy to buy rotten eggs!
If you had the chance to remake this film/program, what would you do differently?
I would tell a Completely different story. I would tell the Amazing story of creation from the Mayan perspective and include the information in The Purposeful Universe, giving a perspective that supports the relationship that human beings are living into at the highest level of consciousness. The extraordinary telling of Ancients and Moderns coming into all inclusive, co-creative relationship would really give people something to Cheer about.
Would you recommend this film/program to your family, friends and colleagues? Why or why not?
I would Not recommend this film to family, friends or colleagues as, as movie ratings go, on a scale from 1 to 5 stars I would personally give it a rating of 1.5 and I don't recommend movies that for me rate lower than 4.
What would you like to say to the film's director, and/or the production studio?
I would ask him to consider making a movie that tells the story of Creation, that would detail sequences of 'known' events that have been cataloged by researcher, Carl Johan Calleman, a genius of vision, as he depicts a truth telling that graces human beings with information that methodically awakens them to higher states of perspective, an empowering reality, one that brings them home to who they are authentically. I would write a story that creates Amazement from Facts that would benefit humanity, facts that would resonate with Truth of our growth into higher levels of consciousness, a film that would depict hopeful possibilities for human beings and ways they can Thrive in this time of enormous change on this planet.
("2012" only) Roland Emmerich is allegedly planning a television series "post 2012". What do you think of this idea?
I would love to participate in the planning of a 2012 series, anchoring it in informative waves of information that align us with what Is emerging from moment to moment, information that shows us how to Thrive in this time of Tremendous change.
