Jeremy's Mayan Calendar Story
Location
Two.
I began exploring the Mayan Calendar in 2004, inspired by the work of Ian Xel Lungold and Dr. Carl Calleman. Since then, my use has expanded from celebrating the Mayan New Years and Midpoints only to daily contemplation of the current Galactic Tone and Sun Sign. While I was in Mexico 2008-2009, I led a weekly Mayan Calendar meditation group that sourced the teachings of the Mayan Calendar to assist those attending to experience a deeper understanding of self. It was truly amazing, and I look forward to creating another such group in the near future. In my own life, I follow the Mayan Calendar as a spiritual guide, a true map of time and consciousness evolution. At the same time, I follow the Gregorian Calendar as a way to navigate daily living in the modern civilized world.
The Mayan Calendar has helped me to understand the cyclical nature of time as well as the "Divine Plan" for consciousness. I see life more as a dynamic, interdependent system with a purpose. The Mayan Calendar has offered me a clearer vision of my path and the path that humanity is taking and has inspired hope and direction for my personal and interrelational evolution.
The primary challenge I have encountered is the relative lack of awareness of the Mayan Calendar in society. At times, I feel the pain of loneliness when I encounter those who are not aware of nor interested in the Mayan Calendar. It has also been difficult trying to live "Mayan" in a community that does not see outside of the linear Gregorian view of time. I experience myself as being in a "phase shift" relative to most of the people I see on a daily basis.
My life now is richer, more synchronistic, and certainly more co-creative. The Mayan Calendar has inspired me to listen more intently to the daily vibrations available to us and to explore how my own personal evolution of consciousness is a reflection of and a contribution to the collective evolution of humanity. Dr. Calleman's work has reinforced the holographic view of the universe and has corroborated Daoist theories of Yin Yang that are an integral part of my life and philosophy. I would say that I now have a clearer direction in my life and hope about where we are headed as a world community.
Thank you for the opportunity to express myself and to share a little bit about how the Mayan Calendar has influenced my life. I strongly support your intention and am also seeking to educate the public so that each of us is more able to live authentically in reality. -- In Lak'ech - I Am Another You, Jeremy
