Karen's Mayan Calendar Story
Location
I have a group called the Day Keepers Guild and there are at least 30 of us in the group.
I use the Daily Guide to the Mayan Sacred Calendar which my Husband and I have published since 2006 This coming year, 2010 will be our 4th edition. It’s a day timer format which correlates the Gregorian date with the Mayan energy of the day. We use the traditional Long count, based on Ian Lungold and Carl Calleman’s work. I have followed it everyday and have kept a journal about it since 2005.
All my life I have wanted to see the beauty and grace in everyone and everything and even in every circumstance. In my youth it was the Jesus of the Bible, and now in my old age it is the Jesus of the Mayan Sacred Calendar. Whether it's the Kingdom of God or the Universal intelligence of all there is, was and will be, it offers me every day, every moment of every day, an opportunity to create what I want by surrendering to a presence that permeates all matter and non matter. It's a love that is patient, kind, generous, longsuffering, humble and above all intending good for all creatures great and small. My faith is based in certainty, whether I'm walking in alignment with the Divine energies of the Mayan Sacred Calendar, riding the waves of a tsunami, or dieing to my own mental and emotional wasteland I know what is eternal will remain and will become the seeds for the future.
None!
We do each have our roles to play, all are aspects of the Divine plan, but all as particles uniquely and purposefully engaged in a Bigger Picture. Our part in this creative process has been designed into it from the very beginning. I believe this with all my heart, because after revealing something as insignificant as a persons Mayan Birthday I am filled with such awe it can't help but bubble right out of me. It truly inspires me and elevates me to a place of love and appreciation for this life force that always has its intention our joy and well being. Many days I feel like a voice crying in the wilderness, but then there are days spent with my little granddaughter, red Earth energy, looking on much like Moses did to a burning bush undaunted by her own fire and enthusiasm for life.
My Mayan birthday is 11-Men (Eagle) and the vibrational signature for my own conscious evolution. It's my unique calling and I have come to recognize that my own enthusiasm can get in the way sometimes in allowing what needs to happen to happen. We each have our own journey to make. However. if what I have done to help get the "word out", as my dear teacher Ian Lungold challenged me to do, means anything; if paying attention on a daily basis to Divine intention; if listening to my own inner voice, my intuition; if following my personal integrity, can bring such peace and bliss it is important for me to share it with who ever is attracted to the information.
I'm actually thinking of writing a book and calling it Our Minimum Daily Allowance for Spiritual Well-Being. Allowing the Divine flow of creation as it unfolds is the greatest help we can give ourselves as we are accelerating toward a new creation cycle. The untold and unknowable is what has been revealed and unveiled by the Mayan Sacred Calendar. My view of the world, reality and my self has exploded beyond all previous understandings, having shattered the subterranean, mindless, wanderings of humanity in its search for meaning.
Much has changed and is still changing in our world but what is significant is there is a universal law and order to it that never changes. The unseen forces at play are available for our conscious awareness and are embodied within the Mayan Sacred Calendar. There are people in my life that share my enthusiasm, and choose to call this unseen force God, Allah, The Great Mystery, Source. It really doesn’t matter what we call it we are all family. Words, semantics, verbiage, give us cause to argue and fight for the significance of our own personal worldview, and we have our free will to do just that. It’s our lives, our family and friends, our world which hangs in the balance.
It’s our choice.

Miraculously, we are publishing our 4th Daily Guide for following Divine Time according to the ancestral wisdom of the Maya. Besides information for each day we include original art and quotes inspired by the imagination and visions of our contributors. We feel so blessed to be able to offer it another year. The 2010 Daily Guide, the year of the Eagle, I have themed it because the energy for Jan, 1, 2010 is 11-Eagle, my Mayan birthday.
I want to thank LUCITÀ and the Mayan Portal for all they've done to get the "word out" as well. It's an amazing time to be alive! All blessings on your journey!
Namaste, Karen Majorowski
