How many in your family/community/group are living with the Mayan calendar?
One, maybe two.
How do you use the Mayan Calendar in your everyday life? Do you combine it with the Gregorian calendar?
Currently I add the flow of the mayan number and day sign to the linear calendar to observe and feel the flow of a more circular energy
How has the Mayan Calendar influenced or changed your way of life or thinking?
The long count has had much more impact for me in the larger picture and thus structure of life it has shown. The Mayan Calendar itself has not been as easy to apply as I do not have the grasp of meanings yet...
What challenges or difficulties have you encountered in integrating the Mayan Calendar into your daily life?
Just like all other truths that appear in my life, there is still the control of the culture (world/shirled) thoughts and sturcture that prevail. I find I do not know the day of the week (weak) when communicating, scheuduling etc. I have wondered how much more flowing the transition would be if we had a thirteen month calendar with the moon as the structure of divisions. Then applying the 13/20 day flow would be easier. I use the flip chart and have contemplated designing something circular to help visually.
What do you feel are the benefits of living with the Mayan Calendar?
When you say the Mayan Calendar you do mean the Tzolkin, right? I find it confusing for myself and other folks I visit with when the Mayan Calendar seems to be used to talk about the long count and the tzolkin. I find myself having to always explain the difference before any lights go on. I personally (as I said previously) find the structure of a huge picture and lapse of time of the long count something that fit rather easily into my consciousness and then of course my momemnt to moment daily life.

I do have two or more are gathered my space and e-blogger but NO I have attached two poems that were inspired from reading Carl Calleman's books.
The Mayan Calendar has the Long count AND a daily flow of tones and day signs...THAT ARE SEPARATE AND DISTINCT FROM THE POPULAR CONCEPT OF THE END DATE OF THE LONG COUNT.

Waning
Transformation of Consciousness
Dualistic thinking is fading away finally losing its grip; more everyday. Some may try very hard to hang on to 'what's been' Right-wrong, good-bad judgments coming to their end. That thinking has never felt peaceful inside caused conflicts of worth for my self; I confide. Slowly at first; it seemed so hard for me... then, quite surprisingly, deeply; I became we After years of deep research to put fears to rest I felt like a fool putting dreams to the test. 'What If' I didn't care how it looked to those watching? I practiced 'not hearing' all the mouths that kept talking. Lips that shared how naive were my views I kept isolated, insulated from outside reviews. Today, as we sit here, we feel confidence growing not enough words to explain or; to share all our knowing. Our sails are wide open, the winds at our back we view the sunrise knowing; God's creation's intact.
Victory over ignorance
We feel temptation surrounding the body we inhabit
The ‘woe is me’ is so close she does not have to reach to grab it.
The magnet that attracts this has been programmed and stuck within
It locks into the bones, into the joints and is mirrored by the skin.
We feel her standing numbly, refusing to obey
the ‘worthlessness’ that’s conditioned and reinforced night and day.
So in the poem we tell her; the body of our reflection
We love her strength, her intent and her clarity of projection
Each time she stands in knowing, her immunity ignites within…
Her resistance to the worldly ways grows enough to win.
To gain victory over ignorance, over fears that would control
Creates great movement all around, connects her to the flow.
The flow and currents of life’s energy, the power of the Life Force
Will be felt momentarily as she removes what blocks the course
When she feels like she is drowning in her confusion of debris
She was taught she must hang on, work hard to not break free.
The lie the world created said she could trust what she could see;
that all else was just imagination and feeling; NOT reality
She sees mostly with her heart with no context to relate
what she is looking at, yet on that she contemplates.
Now we will open up the gate that suffers the debris to flow away
The intentional contamination has been the worldly way.
We will no longer allow the lethal contamination to continue.
The time is ripe; the time is now to introduce a brand new venue
This gathering place is right on Earth (the grandest mother ever)
Trust the truth you FEEL inside---the simplicity of clever.
This completion of creation is scheduled and right on time.
There has never been a cliff hanger –the doubt: part of control slime.
The outcome has always been assured from the view of greater vision
The so called competition of power is outdated and very wizened.
All the people, places and things that have benefited from the lies
are struggling to remain in place they are fighting for their lives.
No life force for them to feed on, all the negativity has been consumed
What is left will feed off each other; ‘control over…extinct and doomed.
In our rhyming we ask her to trust the benevolence of Life energy.
Eternity has an interest in time; with time created synergy
The synergy of all the parts that make the spirit human complete;
is greater than each part alone…the Creator’s greatest feat.
