Su's Mayan Calendar Story
Location
Just me.
I work with both calendars.
The Mayan Calendar brings a deeper spiritual sensibility into my life. Carl Calleman's connecting the day and night periods to the historic timeline also gives a sense of the wave-like progression of time gives me a sense of preparedness for the future with a longer view. It is a new way of looking at things with a better approach.
Staying focused on the larger picture when I get busy. It's good to remember to check the day in the morning. This gives you an earth-centered approach to the day. I recently found the Mayan Calendar Portal's Twitter site and I follow that now and often retweet the day so others who follow me on Twitter can see it and hopefully their curiosity will open them to finding out more. I have also retweeted (reposting the links and info to twitter followers) the video lecture Carl Calleman recently posted. It was great to see after attending his (1st?) workshop here in NYC several years ago.
Having the Mayan Calendar in my life keeps me grounded. I think about my relationship with the earth and elements of nature more and each individual I meet has a relationship with the energies of nature whether or not they are aware of it, the fact that I am aware of it make all the difference to my relationships, friendships and business associations. It has made the world a more pleasant place to be. It gives me a strong basis of connection with a warmer heart in whatever I do.
