Do you live by the Mayan Calendar on a daily or at least a regular basis? Are you creative, a good storyteller, and have a skill for video? Do you follow the MCP's daily energy posts? If you answered YES to all three questions, WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU! In the next few days, we'll be announcing a special MCP initiative that features you, the members of our international community who are truly living with the Mayan Calendar. And it will all be done through video. This is a great chance to be featured in a public space and let the world know how the Mayan Calendar has changed your life, whatever line of work you're in. So fire up those video cameras and let your creativity run wild! After all, this is the Kan trecena, and that gives you the perfect energy to let the storyteller in you shine. We'll send out details and deadlines soon. But if you can't wait and want to know more NOW, email us! Support EXPO MAYA 2011 The 5th Annual Expo Maya is coming up in just a few days... as we write this, final preparations are underway to get ready for the influx of tourists that descend on the town of Momostenango, Guatemala, each year. For those of you who are going, please send in your videos and photos so we can publish them on the MCP site! And if you'd like to help or volunteer your time on the ground, email us and we'll get you connected with the organizers. For those of you unable to attend this year's festival, please consider donating whatever you can, even a small amount to help the Maya community of Momostenango fund the event. The principal organizer is Don Rigoberto Itzep Chanchavac, chief Mayan Elder of Momostenango, who personally oversees the entire event. Let us send our support, from all over the world, to this warm and welcoming Maya community in the highlands of Guatemala. Let us show them we care not just about their ancient calendar, but about their living culture. For information about the event and how to send your donations directly to Don Rigoberto, please visit the EXPO MAYA page on the MCP web site.
