How many in your family/community/group are living with the Mayan calendar?

1. Most people do not understand (nor want to understand) my beliefs and those of the Mayans.

How do you use the Mayan Calendar in your everyday life? Do you combine it with the Gregorian calendar?

I use it as a combination, yet I am still learning the use of the Mayan Calendar. Ironically the Julian Calendar changed to the Gregorian Calendar on my birth date of October 4. I wonder what that means to my cosmic association with calendars/time?

How has the Mayan Calendar influenced or changed your way of life or thinking?

I have learned that the Mayans have a much better understanding of the concept of time and at what "beat" we and the solar system interact physically and spiritually.

What challenges or difficulties have you encountered in integrating the Mayan Calendar into your daily life?

Again, I am still learning the use of the Mayan Calendar. I need to put into practice the 13/20-260 day calendar into my life.

What do you feel are the benefits of living with the Mayan Calendar?

It is the true, or more realistic, calculation of the movement of time and the rate of flow of time. We can better understand the vibrations that cause the calendar/time to move.

Do you have a blog or a web site you’d like your story to link to?

No.

Any other comments or thoughts:

The following is a short story on how I found the MCP.

I am new to the Mayan Calendar and its use. I visited my first Mayan archeological site, Palenque, in 1973 and since I have been to several others. I am fascinated with the Mayan culture.

I have been studying the concept of time since 1978, and I have many thoughts about how to use time and calculate time. I had a boss who always told me "we do not have time". It is my constant quest to learn more about time that brought me to the Mayan Calendar Portal. I need to learn more about how the Mayan Calendar works however.

My main perspective in learning the Mayan Calendar is the calculation of time from the standpoint of thought processes. I believe that while most people consider time linear, your thought processes are exponential. I emphasize the fact that thought processes are, or should be if used properly, exponential. Even if time is linear, by what definition/scale is being using as a linear measurement. It is evident that the Mayans used a different measurement, and I agree with the Mayan measurement.

I would like to add that we can all improve our understanding of the Mayan measurement if we begin to understand the "beat" of our thought processes and how we can control that "beat". Time is NEVER a limitation to what we can do, only our rate of thought processes are a limitation. The Mayan Calendar is doing in 260 days what the Gregorian Calendars does in 365 days. At what "beat" rate are your thought processes? How do you measure the vibrations of time?

Thank you.
