How many in your family/community/group are living with the Mayan calendar?

Just me.

How do you use the Mayan Calendar in your everyday life? Do you combine it with the Gregorian calendar?

I have a combined calendar, which I follow almost every day (I just make note of the trecena and current day number and glyph). I also run a Mayan Calendar Facebook group where I send a message to members at the start of each trecena and post information on the beginning, mid-points and ends of 'days' and 'nights' and other pivotal time sin the calendar.

How has the Mayan Calendar influenced or changed your way of life or thinking?

It has had a profound affect, which would take forever to explore here. Mostly I have received a deep sense of knowing and understanding of a higher order to life, which before the calendar I had hints of but no confirmation. Seeing the elegant beauty of the calendar in action fills me with peace and joy. Just by following the days, trecenas, underworlds and relative 'days/nights' at a superficial level opens doors in my mind to knowledge and understanding, as patterns imprint on to my awareness.

What challenges or difficulties have you encountered in integrating the Mayan Calendar into your daily life?

I still face the challenge of creating a happy balance between the Gregorian and Mayan systems, as I still need to work and run a business according to the Gregorian standard. But what is life without challenges ;-)

What do you feel are the benefits of living with the Mayan Calendar?

Reconnection with natural rhythms, opening up of the mind to higher knowledge, insightful planning and action, peace in the knowledge that there is a plan and that everything moves through cycles and all will ultimately pass.

Do you have a blog or a web site you’d like your story to link to?
Any other comments or thoughts:

It would be great to develop applications for pcs and phones that display the current trecena and day sign, which can be expanded in to a description of the energies. I think that in this day of communication every tool available should be used to allow people to access the knowledge, just as every phone and pc has the Gregorian date. An interesting idea for me at the moment, and quite a sad one, is that I can see the calendar becoming popular just when it's about to end... It seems that after 16 billion years it's only now (or so it seems) that we're all becoming aware enough to appreciate it. And when everyone gets it... it's over. What's next? With Love, Macky
