Hunab Ku 7

$1.75

The Hunab Ku symbol is perhaps one of the most ubiquitous visual symbols of the Mayan Calendar culture. It means "the one god" in Yucatec Maya, and was used by the Aztecs as a ritual cloak or mantle design.

Also known as the "Galactic Butterfly," this symbol is presumed to represent the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, and by some accounts was associated with an indigenous creator god, Itzamna.

Purchasing this template gives you one colored version of the Hunab Ku symbol in PNG format. We also have other available color and pattern variations in our list of Hunab Ku illustrations.

All daysign, number and deity templates are based on the original, authentic Maya carvings found in Guatemala and other Maya lands in Central America. Original styling by Luba Ortoleva.

Also available in PDF or TIFF upon request, at no extra charge. Other formats and custom sizes are charged extra at cost. Please email us with your specifications.
