PARTICIPATE IN THE MAYAN CALENDAR PORTAL COMMUNITY

LIST YOUR BUSINESS IN THE MCP MARKETPLACE
One of the signs of a thriving community is the exchange and interchange of services, products, knowledge and other resources critical to a society's economic health and continuity.  Rather than shun the economy we all live in, why not make it not just sustainable but spiritually aware?  The green business movement is already sweeping the world, so the next step is conscious and spiritually sustainable business—in line with the essence of the Sacred Mayan Calendar.

This is where the MCP Marketplace comes in.  Our intention is to create a centralized online community of companies, organizations and individual professionals actively engaged in sustainable, conscious businesses.  We'll be launching this platform in early 2010.

SUBMIT EVENTS
MCP 2.0 will feature an Event Calendar listing workshops, conferences, talks, tours and other events around the world related to the Mayan Calendar and the Maya culture.  We encourage all those of you organizing or planning these types of events to submit them for inclusion in the Event Calendar which shall go live this fall.  Our event submission form will be ready soon, so for now please email us with the event details.

If you are not an event organizer, but know of a Mayan Calendar event that you would like to let us know about, emailing us is the best way to let us know about the event.

In order to be listed on the MCP Events Calendar, the event must be related to the Sacred Mayan Calendar, the Maya people, their language, culture and/or their place in the world today.

SUBMIT CONTENT
We are continually seeking to enhance the breadth and depth of knowledge, information and materials related and relevant to the Maya and their Sacred Calendar on the MCP 2.0 site.  We therefore invite those of you who have done research or written about these topics, taken photographs of sacred Mayan sites, composed music or podcasts or produced videos, to submit your work and links to your web sites for display on the site.  All you need to do is fill out a simple content submission form

If you are not an author or producer of content, but still want to submit materials to us for consideration, that's fine too.  Use the same content submission form, and be sure the information is accurate, publicly available and that you include the author's contact information if applicable.

In the interest of providing facts and information to our audiences, for non fiction and scholarly work we give preference to materials based on fact, research, and expert opinion.  We do not accept ungrounded or inflammatory doomsday, end of the world or conspiracy theories and other fear-based materials.

We accept the following types of content submissions:

  • Photographic images
  • Artwork (digital files only)
  • Videos
  • Music and podcasts
  • Links to web sites
  • News & magazine articles
  • Titles of books, DVDs and other educational materials
  • Press releases and media alerts
  • Other text and audiovisual materials

MCP 2.0 is a socially responsible project, and as such seeks to minimize the use of paper resources and the carbon emissions generated by transportation; we therefore do not accept physical materials sent in by mail.  Physical materials such as DVDs, brochures, photography or artwork that you wish to submit, should be transferred into a digital format.

If you have any problems with the submission form, you can also email us and we'll set up an alternate means of transmission.

Please note that all submissions and their sources will be screened.  Emails without proper sender identification will be considered spam and immediately deleted.  Inappropriate material will not be accepted.  We therefore urge you to submit materials or links only from sources you know to be legitimate business operations or web sites.
